Palace beat Arsenal... no really!

A Palace XI comfortably beat a young Arsenal side in a behind closed doors training match.

Palace took the lead early when Aussie trialist Anthony Danze, star of the Olyroos side, fired in from 20 yards past ex-Palace loannee Stuart Taylor.

Neil Shipperley, on his return from injury, made it two on the half hour converting Borrowdale's cross from left with a rising shot at the far post.

New signing Wayne Andrews collected the third with some nice control and equally good finish on 64 minutes.

Lance Cronin made a couple of good stops, but Arsenal weren't really in it.

Palace also gave a first run out to Nicola Ventola, who was also said to have impressed.
