Reserves get back on winning terms

Kit Symons reserve side, at last, got back to winning ways with a late Lewis Grabban strike.

The game had to be switched again away from Bromley, who had to fulfil a Cup fixture postponed from the previous week. The game ended up at Fulham's training ground at Motspur Park, behind closed doors. The following week's game against Arsenal on the 9th March, is scheduled for Selhurst Park.

The game also marked a return to action for Danny Granville (pictured) who played for the first 45 minutes.

Palace survived an early scare when Julian Speroni handled outside the box and continued to weather a storm until the hour mark, when Wayne Andrews started to get Palace moving.

Andrews and Lewis Grabban both had good chances, but just as the game was heading for stalemate, Grabban rounded Mark Crossley and scored with seven minutes left.

Palace held out for the points despite a late rally from Fulham.

Palace (4-4-2): Speroni; Fray, Wilson, Granville (Swaibu 45), Hills; Hughes (Watanabe 45), Fish, Starkey, Dayton; Grabban, Andrews.

Scorer: Grabban 83.
